Atlantic 2021 Spring Series on Mental Health

This spring for series of five sessions explores the theme of Building Resilient Communities. Beginning with an overview of resilience, each session will build on this theme as it relates to resilience at the individual, community and societal levels.

Sessions will be 90 minutes in length combining presentation and interaction. The goal of the interactive presentations is to inspire participants to take learning forward into post session activities and actions.

Be part of a movement that brings together people who are capable of influencing and implementing changes at the policy and community levels! ASI 2021 aims to increase understanding of the importance of infant, child and youth mental health for the whole of society, and foster policy actions to influence upstream investment in support of mental health.

ASI 2021 will be a virtual event that includes speakers, panelists, workshops, small group discussions, social and networking opportunities, the Atlantic Showcase, and our Youth Leadership Program.

Join HP-Atl in PEI for a workshop to advance Global Health & SDGs

Sponsored by the Global Action Group – 6th Global Forum on Health Promotion, the August 24 Moving Evidence to Action: Advancing Global Health and Sustainable Development workshop is designed to engage key partners in exploring the value of collective action on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Health Promotion Atlantic will be featured on a panel as part of the workshop being held at the University of Prince Edward Island in Charlottetown. The workshop will run from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. The fee is $50 and includes lunch and refreshments. Visit here for more information and to register.

Each year, Health Promotion Ontario (HPO) provides a forum for students, practitioners and researchers to come together and discuss issues and ideas in and around the field of health promotion. This year’s conference will be in celebration of the 30thAnniversary of Health Promotion Ontario.

This year’s conference theme invites presentations and workshops that:

  • Applying our Pan-Canadian Health Promoter Competencies into action
  • Identify challenges, lessons learned and potential solutions for applying Pan-Canadian Health Promoter Competencies effectively
  • Provide opportunities for attendees to participate, build skills and network
