Are you passionate about health promotion?  Do you want to help advance the practice of health promotion?  Then join our executive team!

Health Promotion Ontario (HPO) is looking for new members to join our Executive Committee.  We are seeking people who are interested in new and exciting leadership experiences and who are passionate about health promotion!

The HPO Executive Committee leads the planning of initiatives that support health promotion work in Ontario.  Last year, HPO was busy working to increase the profile of health promotion during the COVID pandemic.  We have written advocacy articles on this that were published as a series of Op-Eds in The Hamilton Spectator (https://bit.ly/2P13AgO / https://bit.ly/3v3NClz / https://bit.ly/3sAoNMi).  We also hosted a thought-provoking webinar series in November 2020 entitled Health Promotion in a Global Pandemic.  This series featured the perspectives of health promoters and allied health professionals engaged in responding to the pandemic in Ontario.  You can view these webinars here:   https://www.healthpromotioncanada.ca/health-promotion-ontario-2020-conference-webinars/

The Executive Committee of HPO is embarking on planning for the upcoming year and we are looking to fill some recent vacancies.  The following roles are available on the HPO Executive Committee:  Treasurer, Professional Development, and Communications.  No previous experience in these roles is required.  Mentoring will be provided to all new members.

If you are interested in joining the HPO executive team, please send an email to Susan Stewart (Susan.Stewart@kflaph.ca) introducing yourself and telling us why you are interested in joining our team of dedicated volunteer leaders.  We are accepting letters of interest until Wednesday May 31, 2021.

Join our team!  Share your passion!  Share your ideas!
